I'm back!

Well, I took the summer off from writing this blog and now it's time to start again, I've got lots of projects that I did in a primary school last year that might be interesting to see...

The children of 2C wrote wonderful reworkings of fairy tales deciding whether to change the characters personalities. My favourite was The Tale of Rude Red Riding Hood, the Real Story! The premise was that Red Riding Hood was infact a nasty wicked girl and the wolf was sweet and kind. I got to do an extended workshop on character design and I LOVED every minute of it! Here are some examples of their brilliant artwork....

This is the nice Red Riding Hood. We discussed details such as she would be singing as picking flowers for Grandma.

We also went into great detail about the delicious cakes and biscuits she may have had in her basket.

I like this one on the left, its a good example of using the whole page, its a really confident drawing with some nice details.

We discussed what the Wolf might be plotting or thinking about. I love this wolf on the right, he has so much attitude with his pointy arms and hunched shoulders!

I like the fact the Wolf below is thinking about cake, definately what I am thinking about mostly!! I also like the purple rinse on his hair. I only had black and white to demonstrate with, so to see the colour choices on his dress complimenting his hair so nicely was wonderful! What a talented bunch of children!
